Information on data protection at SERgroup Holding International GmbH
On behalf of the whole of SER, the managing directors Kurt-Werner Sikora, Oswald Freisberg and Manfred Zerwas would like to thank you for visiting our website. We believe in the importance of ensuring that your data is safe and protected while you are using our website (https://www.ser-solutions.com). We are therefore committed to protecting your privacy and making sure that your data remains confidential.
We would like to take this opportunity to tell you how we deal with your personal data while you are using the website and explain the purposes for which we process your data. We may be required to revise this Data Protection Policy in light of legislative amendments or changes to our internal corporate processes. We therefore ask that you read through this policy on a regular basis.
You can check, save or print this Data Protection Policy at any time under www.ser-solutions.com/data-protection-policy.html.
1. Where does this Data Protection Policy apply?
This Data Protection Policy applies to SER's online presence which is the website available under the domain www.ser-solutions.com (referred to as “Our Website”).
2. What is personal data?
Personal data is information that can be used to identify your personal or material circumstances (e.g. name, address, telephone number, date of birth or email address). If we are unable to draw any conclusions about such circumstances or if we require a disproportionate amount of time and effort to do so (e.g. because your data has been made anonymous), the data is not classed as personal data.
3. What type of data do we collect and process?
You are able to use a large proportion of Our Website without needing to enter any personal data.
We do not require you to create a personal user profile. Our servers log data about the type of information you access on Our Website to help us provide services and to use for analysis and security purposes. However, this data is rendered either anonymous or pseudonymous. Our servers log general information, e.g. when pages were accessed, which pages were viewed and which pages are the most popular. However, we are unable to use this data to draw conclusions about our users as all data is rendered pseudonymous. All anonymous or pseudonymous data is deleted as soon as it has been analysed for statistical purposes.

Any data that we have collected is stored on specially protected servers in Germany. Special authorisation is required to access these servers and the only employees with such authorisation have been tasked with technical, commercial or revision duties.
To prevent the data stored at SER from being lost or misused, we have implemented a range of technical measures. These security measures are checked on a regular basis and updated to reflect the latest technological developments. However, we would like to point out that the nature of the Internet may mean that people or institutions outside our of remit may not adhere to the provisions of this Data Protection Policy and the security measures mentioned above. In particular, any data shared in unencrypted form may be accessed by third parties, even if the data is shared by email. Unfortunately, we have no influence over such actions. The user is responsible for protecting any data he wishes to share by encrypting it or using any other form of security measure.
8. Hyperlinks to third-party websites
Our Website includes hyperlinks to websites belonging to other parties. In this case, you will be directed straight to the third-party website from Our Website. You will notice this process taking place because the URL will change, for example. We are unable to accept any responsibility for the way these websites process your personal data as we are unable to ensure that these companies adhere to our data protection policy. Please consult these websites directly to find out how they process your personal data.
9. Information about your data
Your trust is important to us. We will only store any personal data submitted to us for the length of time permitted by law.
