The SAP project for KNIPEX was launched in 2001. In phase one, the FI, CO, and HR modules were activated, followed by the roll-out of the MM and PP modules in 2006. During this period, the volume of data in the SAP database continued to grow, which slowed down response times. The introduction of a DMS system aimed to reduce the volume of data in SAP and improve the system's overall performance.
