Sensational addition to Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management underlines the internationalisation of the Bonn-based business
(23.10.2015 - Bonn) SER Group, Europe’s foremost developer of Enterprise Content Management, has today consolidated its past successes by joining Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management*. The company’s official admission to the world-renowned ranking matrix confirms SER as one of the world’s top 20 suppliers of Enterprise Content Management in 2015. For the only ECM developer in Germany, both the inclusion on the list itself and the fact of achieving a placing for the first time prove that software made in Germany by SER is world class.
“Inclusion in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management is confirmation that the Doxis4 iECM suite is a technological world leader, and one that conforms to global demands in terms of being Unicode-capable and multilingual,” says Kurt-Werner Sikora, managing partner of the SER Group. “Satisfied customers and software designed to meet customer needs have enabled us to take this game-changing international step,” continues Sikora. Amongst other things, Gartner’s assessment of the Doxis4 iECM suite was based on the uniformity and completeness of the service-oriented architecture, which incorporates a multitude of functional and administrative modules alongside consistent metadata and rights management.
Strong positioning thanks to sophisticated technology and scores of successful projects
With its strong position in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management, the SER Group is setting new standards on the international market. The sophisticated software architecture focuses on the digital
workplace and facilitates management and synchronisation through a very wide range of users, documents and business processes via the latest user interfaces (Windows, web and mobile). The software was almost entirely developed by SER in Germany: it can indeed claim to be made in Germany. High levels of scalability and availability along with multi-client, cloud and multi-lingual capabilities make the SER Group a highly attractive partner to medium sized companies, large corporations, public authorities and international organisations. Customers such as DHL, Procter & Gamble, Deutsche Bahn and SEW, etc., who need to process and archive large volumes at many sites around the world, stand testament to the performance capability of the Doxis4 iECM suite. More than two thousand successfully implemented ECM and BPM projects for more than a million users are a further reflection of the cross-sector and vertical market expertise built up by the SER Group over the past 30 years.
“Our standard software is flexible enough to be deployed by mid-sized businesses with just a few hundred users, and by large corporations and organisations with tens of thousands of users. Stability, reliability, the user experience and the capacity to adapt to individual customer requirements are the top priorities for us,” says Dr. Gregor Joeris, managing director (Technology and Products). “With our technology, we do not only cover customer needs, but also anticipate future innovations and thereby meet client needs that haven’t even been identified yet,” concludes Joeris.
